2023 (offsite) Content Roundup
Happy new year! 2023 has finally come to an end and with that, it’s time for another yearly content roundup. In case you missed any of my content on other platforms, this should help to get you back on track. Enjoy!
Content on my own blog
Unsurprisingly, I couldn’t stop myself from writing content for my own blog, despite the many, many other things going on in 2023. Here’s the list of posts:
- In May, following Adobe Summit and a few releases, I was happy to announce that Adobe’s Customer Journey Analytics has finally surpassed Adobe Analytics and is now my general recommendation for a digital analytics tool.
- In July, when Google Universal Analytics was retired, I gave my recommendation for anyone looking for a new entry-level analytics tool. People were quite surprised that I’m not just recommending Adobe but two more tools!
- In October, when Adobe had just released Derived Fields for Customer Journey Analytics, I did a post about how it can be used to make Marketing Channels so much better than they were in Adobe Analytics.
- Also in October, my excitement for CJA brought me to write a post about Form Tracking in the now-even-better tool.
- Finally, in November, I wrote about my current view on the digital analytics tool landscape and how I structure the vast number of tools in my head. This was a fun one!
Content on my company’s blog
As you will have heard way too many times, I work an amazing company called Accutics, which lets me create all kinds of content on their own platforms. In terms of blog posts, there are three more posts to read:
- First, I did a post about how companies can use both UTMs and CIDs in parallel for Adobe Analytics while getting the most out of each approach.
- Right after that, I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences about migrating to a new digital analytics solution and how to manage the process to the best outcome.
- Last, but not least, it was time for me to reflect on my own journey of discovering that internally-built tools are often way more expensive than anticipated and should be seen way more critical.
Company video content
2023 was a very interesting year for me personally, since I got the chance to lean way more into video content, webinars, and in-person events. The one-and-only reason why I’m able to do this is again my amazing company, which has allowed me to do two super exciting projects:
- Between the US and EMEA Adobe Summit, I was allowed to record a 10-part video series on Mastering Adobe Analytics. The first season has just concluded, so make sure to catch up on the content and sign up for the next wave of releases!
- To further celebrate the launch of Derived Fields in Customer Journey Analytics, I got to spend a full hour with two of my favorite people from Adobe and have fun with the amazing new use cases. Even if you are not on CJA yet, this should be a lot of fun to watch.
Adobe Summit, Adobe Analytics Masterclass, and other in-person events
As mentioned, in-person events became a big part of my life in 2023. Just a few of those were recorded, but the list alone gives me a lot of nostalgia:
- US and EMEA Adobe Summit. Yes, I was able to join both Summits in person, and it was amazing! My company sponsored the US Summit, so I was able to give away some free consulting at our booth. For the EMEA Summit, we hosted an Adobe Analytics User Group meeting (the first in-person meeting of the group, yay!) and had a lot of fun at the conference. I can’t wait to do it again in 2024, especially since we have our Adobe Analytics 1-day Masterclass as a free event at the US Adobe Summit. See you there!
- In September, I got to give my very first Adobe Analytics Masterclass. It is a 2 day, in-person training that covers everything I have learned about building a successful Adobe Analytics practice in companies of all shapes and sizes. This was so much fun and we’re definitely doing it again in 2024! As mentioned, my company allows me to do a free 1-day version of it at the US Summit, so make sure to apply for one of the limited seats!
- On a smaller scale, I was happy to join the very first Munich MeasureCamp and the surprisingly international Prague MeasureCamp. Both were a lot of fun, just like the three Copenhagen Web Analytics Wednesdays and Analytics Masterminds Copenhagen events. When in Copenhagen, make sure to attend those!
- Last, but once more not least, I got to speak at the Adobe Experience Makers Stockholm event, again exemplifying how vibrant and lively the analytics community in the Nordics is.
